Dorset Show 5th & 6th September 2015 schedule

Here is Dorset Show schedule for 2015, the show is held at Cokers Frome showground just north of Dorchester on 5th & 6th September.

Static competitions

Class 1: Any item produced using mainly traditional methods for indoor use
Class 2: Any item produced using mainly traditional methods for outdoor use
Class 3: Any Item of an artistic nature using any method of construction, with no limit on selling price


Live competitions

Class 4: Any saleable item produced on the showground in 30 minutes no striker allowed
Class 5: Competitors are required to make in 60 minutes, on the showground
“A Candle Snuffer” any size any design competitor to supply material. Points given for inventiveness and function.

Special prizes will be awarded for student entries at the judges discretion.

Competitors to supply their own material and tools. Forge anvil coal and vice will be provided.
No striker allowed.

It was a tough Show for the SOE committe as it clashed with the Royal Three Counties Show at Malvern (also a NBCC round). In addition they had come back to the Ardingly Show ground after a years absence only to find the Show organisers had moved their previously agreed pitch at the last minute.
